And you guys, we are so sad. It is so hard to say goodbye. So do. Yes. So please stop it. Hi. So this is the last episode of the season. I'm getting emotional over here. Me back, though. So.

So it's okay. So we did. We did. Want to let you know this time, though, because last time.

Speaker 1

Or any time before and now we just magically just disappear off the face of the earth. So we definitely wanted to let you guys know that we are heading into our summer break, and so we will see on the other side.

Yes, yes, yes. So So this was a great season, though. I think we had a lot of fun. We talked about a lot of things. We actually introduce a new kind of.

Yes. Yes, I hope you guys enjoyed our interviews that we did this season. This was the first time ever that we did interviews. Yes.

Speaker 1

Piloting interviews. And I don't know what ya think about it. Let us know what you think. But I certainly felt like I learned so much from them. And so I hope you all had a similar well.

Highlights: We Learned from Guests

Well, not only that, but as it was refreshing, I mean, I think in both interviews that we did or I'm sorry, in all the interviews that we did, I heard a little bit of the message that we already had which was super cool to the guy to hear other people who come from completely different backgrounds or have a completely different voice and a different conversation and still kind of have a lot of the same concepts that we've talked about.

So it was it was cool. It was like reaffirming a little bit. Yeah.

Speaker 1

It definitely was. Yeah, it definitely was. But we're not crazy. It basically was used trying to say like all this, we don't just make it up out of our heads. But no, I definitely I learned so much from the guest I remember our interview with Danita in like y'all from that episode. You don't understand how my business has changed.

It has just from that espresso alone.

Speaker 2

And her thing was all about mindset, too. Yes. And that was pretty cool to kind of be able to take that away and apply that.

Speaker 1

Yeah. So, you.

Speaker 2

Know, it's funny you mention that though, because to you, I'm like, why are you shocked? Like, we've, we've had these conversations, like, I'll call and I'll say something to you. Like, What? You're already there. But I know we have to convince you and sneak it's like no, but I'm so, so, so, so the guys have been really cool.

Highlights: Money Moves

Anything else from the season that was, you know.

Speaker 1

Yeah. So I think one of my favorite things we did this season was this series on, you know, money moves for the decade. Like, I don't know, I have so much fun with that. I'd never I had never thought about, number one, how many money moves you could make over a lifetime.

Speaker 2

Well, two, I think that it told a story like that. It's not just about being at a particular place, right. And doing something one time or that we're in a gang and it kind of just said, Hey, guys, you should be doing something at all times. It should always be on your mind, you know.

Speaker 1

Always be aware. Yeah. And so I think it was, I mean, helpful in that part of it was retrospective because we were looking at you know, we started from I think childhood was the first episode, but we ended that series in the fifties, which is more forward looking for us. And so it was like reflective and cathartic, but also like, wow, trying to put myself in the shoes of my elders.

Right. And what they might be thinking about right now. And in turn having me think about like what are some of the things that I need to be working towards? So I just thought that series was cool in some before the plug go back and check it out if you missed it.

Highlights: Relationship series

What about? So we had that whole section on keeping it spicy. Oh, we.

Speaker 1

We also had a little series about relationships through this season. And, and while we were doing it, I was like, Do relationships have a place on a finance, you know, business? You know, kind of podcasts? Not that that's pigeonholing us into what we are, but I had fun with it because we really do talk about the whole person on this episode, and relationships are critically important.

Speaker 2

You know, your biggest investment is in your.

Speaker 1

Partners, in your partner. So if you have the spice.

Speaker 2

You can't keep the partner that you.

Speaker 1

Want, which could impact so many things in your life.

Speaker 2

And so the reason I brought that up, though, because I think it's so important to understand that we are three dimensional, that we're well-rounded, that there's so much that goes into like like finances, not just finance. Right. Right. Like you are all of that.

You're a person doing finance stuff.

Looking Back and Looking Forward

Speaker 2

And but that's what I but that's what I took. That was my overall thought about this season is it was the realization that we are the sum of all these things and all of these things impact all of the areas.

Speaker 1

Of your life. Yeah, that was yeah. And I know when we when we opened up this season, we did let y'all know, like, we were going to be exploring this space a little bit differently. And so I think we nailed it yeah.

Speaker 1

Right. We go do a little Harlem shake or something over here. Okay.

Speaker 2

All right.

Speaker 1

I'm like, but yeah, I think that we were true to that. I guess I'm wondering, do you have any thoughts about what the next season is going to be Oh, man. Putting her on the spot. I haven't thought about this either.

Speaker 2

I have, but I'm I'm really excited because I think it's all it's all evolved in our conversations. Like it? Yeah. It's really it hasn't been something that we have just sat down and been like, this is where we're going. This is what we're doing is just kind of being an evolving conversation. But that, I think, is more exciting to kind of get into and then see it evolve as you're in the midst of it.

Yeah, it's been really cool.

Speaker 1

So I'm going to agree with her. But yeah, now I'm a little bit more methodical than that. I'm not.

Have a little bit more with that. But I appreciate what you said because this podcast has truly like, as you guys have listened to over the years, you have literally evolved real time with us. Like, this is not something we plan it. This is like what's actually happening in our lives. And so y'all are really getting that sense of it.

I feel like so many strangers know me so well.

Speaker 1

I know, right? Like actual friends don't know me as much as y'all. Yes, I completely agree with that. Yeah. I'm like, so yeah. So we put all our business out here on these podcast streets for y'all and so whenever we meet y'all in person, don't judge us, okay? Because you just know way more about us than most people and yeah, way more than we know about you.

So I would definitely say looking to the future if I if I had to guess at what our next season was going to be about, I think it's just going to be about leveling up. I'm pretty sure that's been a theme of previous seasons but I think we're even more on the cusp of some larger moves.

Yeah, I was going to say, like, when you guys see me next time, I'm on the verge of making some really gigantic changes in my life. So I'm excited to go to go through that with you guys when we come back. So we'll see that.
